Ricardo was born in Luanda, Angola, then the family moved to Portugal.Always interested in music, at a young age he formed a "covers" band (guitars & vocal), which played all the local venues in Lisbon.
He trained in theatre, music and movement classes in Portugal, working with the Companhia Teatro Alberto (Open Theatre Co.), the Teatro Politeama & Teatroesfera, before being discovered by a Disney producer - (as you do) - leading to his singing & voicing on many Disney and Dreamworks animated features.
He spent a while as principal singer on the Queen Elizabeth II and Queen Mary II (Cunard line), before moving permanently to England.
With a remarkable range, moving effortlessly from operatic aria to rock, this dynamite singer can be heard as Galileo in "We Will Rock You" at the Dominion Theatre, marking his West End debut. He also featured in "The Night of 1000 Voices" at the Royal Albert Hall.

Ricardo returns to the role of Galileo having spent a year away in which he undertook a series of concert and show dates including A Night of a Thousand voices at the Royal Albert Hall, the Queen concerts with the English National Orchestra and as principal singer in Abba Tribute in Portugal. He has also contributed to many well-loved feature films and animations including singing numbers as Robin Hood in Shrek and main title songs for Beauty and the Beast and Duck Tales.
